Just got home from a Def Leppard concert. It was so nice of them to come to town to perform for my birthday! Great rock, awesome guitar playing. The crowd was on their feet the whole time. They are celebrating their 25th year this year. It's wonderful to see the different generations there. Everyone can appreciate rock music. I went with my daughter, Teri and her roommate.

I need to sound off about this country and its flipping immigration policy. Teri had a great friend who was in Canada from Mexico, he and his mother and his 16 year old brother fled some family problems there and made a home here in Canada for the last two years. Alberto was the nicest boy Teri ever brought home, called me ma'am and was worried that he should go in my daughter's bedroom (she entertained all her "gang" there). He worked hard and supported his mother and little brother. Never missed any work. When they tried to apply for immigration, they were turned down as they hadn't done it from Mexico. We sent letters to our MPs and petitions were signed but to no good. Time finally ran out for them yesterday and they had to leave to go back to Mexico. They don't have anything left there and could only take two suitcases each with them from here. They are going to try to apply from down there. Anyway I think it sucks when you see who is getting in to this country and you know good people like them are turned away. We miss you already Alberto!
